On the Same Day Jampidsus Febrie Resigned, President Summoned Attorney General

President Prabowo Subianto held a limited meeting with Attorney General ST Burhanuddin on Saturday evening to receive a report on the corruption case involving former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah. Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, who also serves as presidential spokesperson, stated that the President wanted a direct explanation regarding the case’s developments. When asked whether the government desired a resolution without causing public commotion, Prasetyo said the administration is committed to maintaining national stability. Febrie Adriansyah announced his resignation from his post on Saturday morning, shortly after police conducted searches at several locations, including his residence. The senior prosecutor had initially refused to step down and even offered advice to the police, but ultimately relinquished his position within a day.
