In response, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa said he did not know the details. He said the matter would be announced directly by President Prabowo Subianto. ‘Wow, I don’t know, the President will announce it,’ Purbaya said at his office in Jakarta on Tuesday (19 May 2026). The export body rumours have also surfaced among businesspeople and economists. According to the circulating rumours, the body would operate as a buyer of certain Indonesian export commodities before they are shipped to buyer countries. However, it is important to note that the government has not provided detailed information about the rumor. It is said to be announced tomorrow directly by the president in a DPR (Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat) speech delivering the Macroeconomic Framework and the Main Policies of Fiscal Policy (KEMPPKF) for the 2027 RAPBN.
