On SEA Games stickers

I am writing in response to a letter from Zumrotin, a member of the executive board of the Indonesian Consumers Organization, dated April 28, 1997 concerning the sale of SEA Games stickers. I would like to clarify as follows:

1. In compliance with the Agreement of Cooperation between the State Electricity Company (PLN) and the Private Consortium as a partner of the SEA Games Organizer, the fund-raising drive is through sale of stickers. The contribution is not included in electricity bills, so it is not automatic. In other words, PLN consumers are free to decide whether or not to buy the stickers.

2. It is said in the agreement that PLN shall return the unsold stickers. The purchase of the sticker is voluntary in nature, and not obligatory.

3. PLN shall not cut off the power lines of the customers who refuse to buy the SEA Games stickers.

We appreciate your cooperation.
