On religion and unity
Thank you very much for publishing my letter Religion and national unity on Dec. 7, 1998. However, a small error in perception has occurred in the one of the sentences.
A statement in the second paragraph reads: "Actually, not only were Indonesians tolerant toward other religions, there has never been an interest in learning about the tenets and epics of other faiths", which conveys the diametrically opposite meaning of the original: "Actually, not only were they tolerant toward other religions, but also evinced keen interest in learning about the tenets and epics of other faiths."
