On parking at Carrefour

We, as the organizer of Secure Parking, wish to clarify the letter from Noviyani published in The Jakarta Post on July 25, titled Insecure parking at Carrefour. Noviyani was shopping at Carrefour at Jl. MT Haryono on July 17 when her car was tampered and broken, resulting in a loss of Rp 25 million.

However, we need to clarify the matter as follows:

* As a matter of fact, we are not the organizer of the parking lot at Carrefour at Jl. MT Haryono.

* We fully support and appreciate Noviyani who has appealed to owner/authority of the building to improve the security measures and comfort of the parking areas.

* We kindly ask Noviyani to carefully recheck the entry ticket for the vehicle issued by the parking attendant of Carrefour at JL. MT Haryono. The fact was that the ticket did not originate from our (Secure Parking) institution, and consequently it had damaged our reputation.

* We also call on the owners of the vehicles to be concerned over the security of their respective cars by, among other things, locking the steering wheel and putting an alarm device on the car.
