On National Children's Day, Prudential Syariah Stresses Importance of Protection for Children and Families
Jakarta, VIVA – Data from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) in 2024 showed that national insurance penetration was only around 2.8 per cent, meaning many Indonesian families still lack adequate financial protection.
Chief Customer & Marketing Officer of Prudential Syariah, Vivin Arbianti Gautama, said this condition leaves millions of children potentially vulnerable should their families lose the main breadwinner.
“Based on a survey initiated by Prudential, more than 40 per cent of Indonesians regard their family as their top priority in life, and want to ensure their loved ones remain provided for even when they are gone, including their children,” Vivin said in a statement on Saturday, 25 July 2026.
“Yet behind such great love, more than 80 million Indonesian families still live without adequate protection,” she said.
Prudential Syariah noted that its relationship Net Promoter Score (rNPS) is the highest in the sharia life insurance industry, and it ranks first in brand preference across 24 measured attributes. “Both indicate the same thing: families who are already protected are willing to recommend it to other families,” Vivin said.
She believes that any parent in Indonesia would consider their children the most precious thing in their lives. Yet behind such immense love, there is one question we often postpone: will their future remain protected if one day we are no longer by their side?
According to her, that question becomes increasingly relevant on National Children’s Day 2026, which carries the theme “Love Children, Protect and Build Their Future”. The theme serves as a reminder that loving children is not only about affection and education, but also about the family’s readiness to face life’s various risks.
Therefore, Vivin said this gap serves as a key reminder for all stakeholders to get closer to the needs of Indonesian families.
“Children are always number one in every parent’s heart. On this National Children’s Day, we want to remind everyone that protecting children’s future is a form of love that must be prepared starting today. That is why Prudential Syariah continues to be present as the One that Protects for Indonesian families,” Vivin said.
