Artha Graha Peduli (AGP) has reaffirmed its commitment to continuing to contribute to society and the environment through various sustainable care movements in commemoration of the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia.

“Independence is a spirit to keep moving and providing benefits,” said Johan Sunarto, Inspector of the Flag Ceremony for the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia at Mal Artha Gading (MAG), North Jakarta, on Monday.

He said that care is not merely an activity, but part of a collective effort to build a stronger, more empowered, and more prosperous Indonesia.

“Because when society grows, the environment is protected, and care continues to live, that is where the spirit of independence truly manifests,” he said.

Johan explained that through various social and environmental programmes carried out in different regions, Artha Graha Peduli (AGP) strives to deliver contributions that can be directly felt by the community.

According to him, this spirit is realised through activities in the fields of health, social humanitarian aid, the environment, food security, community empowerment, and cultural preservation.

“We believe that a sovereign, just, and prosperous Indonesia is not built by one party alone,” said Johan.

He said that collaboration, mutual cooperation, and care from all elements of the nation are needed. In this momentum of Indonesia’s Independence Day, AGP wishes to continue being part of that movement to care for one another, care for the environment, and care for Indonesia’s future.

The theme of the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia is “A Sovereign, Just, and Prosperous Indonesia,” interpreting independence not merely as a celebration, but as a momentum to strengthen mutual cooperation and care in building Indonesia.

Johan said that a sovereign, just, and prosperous Indonesia is built through care that is tangibly present, starting from care for society, health, food security, the environment, community empowerment, and so on.

“Care today, safeguard the future. Together, we realise a sovereign, just, and prosperous Indonesia,” he said.

In addition to the ceremony at Mal Artha Gading in North Jakarta, AGP also held ceremonies at dozens of other locations throughout Indonesia, such as in the Sudirman Central Business District (SCBD) area, Hotel Borobudur Jakarta, Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel Bali, and Discovery Ancol.

Further locations included Rumkitlap Pasir Putih Ancol, Hotel Palace Cipanas, the Artha Group Security Headquarters in Sunter, branch offices of Bank Artha Graha and Electronic City, the Takokak tea plantation in Cianjur, oil palm plantations in North Sumatra, West Kalimantan, and Southeast Sulawesi.

Ceremonies also took place at the Puskodal field of RSKI Galang, SIS Tual, Pantara Island, the TWNC conservation area in Lampung, the Jebus Maju conservation area in Jambi, the PHC conservation area on Padar Island, the Kendal sugar industry, and others.
