On H+8 of Eid, KAI Jakarta Records Arrival of 52,896 Passengers

Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daerah Operasi (Daop) 1 Jakarta recorded the arrival of 52,896 passengers at various stations in the Daop 1 Jakarta region on Sunday or H+8 of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah, at 09.00 WIB. “The arrival volume or arrivals in Daop 1 totalled 52,896 people,” said Manager of Public Relations for KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Franoto Wibowo, in Jakarta on Sunday (29/3). Based on the data, the return flow of passengers in the KAI Daop 1 region was slightly lower than the previous day, which reached 52,961 passengers. Passengers arriving in Jakarta by train during the return period from 23 March to 1 April 2026 mostly came from cities such as Semarang, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Jember, Purwokerto, Bandung, Malang, Solo, Tegal, Madiun, and Kutoarjo. Passenger arrivals at Stasiun Pasar Senen on this Sunday were still higher than other stations, with 18,753 passengers, followed by Stasiun Gambir with 15,689 passengers. Meanwhile, the departure volume at Stasiun Pasar Senen during the same period was recorded at 13,452 passengers and Stasiun Gambir at 10,066 passengers. Based on the data, the arrival volume during the return flow remains higher than the departure volume. To improve services during the 2026 Eid Transportation period, KAI Daop 1 is offering various services, including thematic decorations at stations and on trains during the Eid period. In addition, KAI is providing mobile customer service, increasing cleaning staff for trains and stations, assistance from TNI/Polri security personnel, and excellent parking services.
