On criminal relocation
On criminal relocation
From Media Indonesia
As evidenced by the high number of newspaper reports, the town
of Bekasi is no longer a safe place to live due to its
increasingly higher crime rate, quantitatively and qualitatively.
Jakarta has lately intensified anti-crime drives, even by
shooting criminals on the spot, which therefore has further
reduced banditry and deterred perpetrators in the capital.
In this way, it is likely that the Jakarta criminals are
relocating their operations to other regions, including Bekasi.
If this is the case, I would like to appeal to the Bekasi
security authorities to be even more wary against their
activities.
On the other hand, citizens of Bekasi should also keep a sharp
lookout for any criminal threat because the public also has an
important role in security precautions, at least in notifying the
police of possible signs of thugs and gangsters.
