On Cabinet Reshuffle, This is Bahlil's Response

Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, who is also the Chairman of the Golkar Party, commented on the issue of President Prabowo Subianto potentially reshuffling the Merah Putih Cabinet on Monday (27/4). He asked journalists to wait for further developments regarding the matter. “We’ll just see,” said Bahlil at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Monday. Bahlil made this statement after meeting with President Prabowo Subianto. When asked about discussions with President Prabowo regarding the cabinet reshuffle, the Golkar Party Chairman said that not all matters need to be conveyed to the public. “Some things must be conveyed, some do not need to be,” he said. Previously, Presidential Chief of Staff Muhammad Qodari stated that the reshuffle of officials in the Merah Putih Cabinet structure is the prerogative of President Prabowo Subianto. Qodari made this remark in response to circulating news that President Prabowo would carry out a reshuffle of several officials on Monday. One of the officials reportedly to be inaugurated is Qodari. “That is all the President’s prerogative,” said Qodari when contacted by Antara on Monday afternoon. Qodari emphasised that regarding the news of the cabinet reshuffle, the public is asked to wait for further developments from the President. According to him, the decision on changes to the cabinet’s official structure is entirely in the hands of the Head of State as the holder of that prerogative authority. “We’ll just wait for developments from Mr President,” he said.
