Omoway Omo-X vs Alva One XP: A comparison of features, range and price

The arrival of the Omoway Omo-X adds to the choices in Indonesia’s premium electric motorcycle segment. This futuristic-styled motorcycle will compete with several players that have entered earlier, one of which is the Alva One XP. Alva itself entered in 2022 and now has an established community. But a closer look shows that the approaches offered are quite different. In terms of design, the Omo-X looks very aggressive and futuristic. Its lines are sharp with horizontal LED lights that give the impression of a vehicle from a science fiction film. The body is also enclosed with an aerodynamic design, giving it a modern look. Its shape still retains the daily-scooter character, but with a modern touch through a dual-tone body colour combination and a new digital instrument panel. Moving to the features area, the Omo-X offers fairly complete technology for a motorcycle of its size. This motorcycle is equipped with a HALO 10.25-inch smart display that supports navigation, music control, and Intelligent Kickstand settings. In addition, its safety features are also quite complete, ranging from dual-channel ABS, Traction Control System (TCS), Hill Descent Control (HDC), to AutoHold. On the other hand, the Alva One XP is more focused on daily use needs. This motorcycle already uses a TFT adaptive 7-inch display that can automatically adjust brightness according to ambient light conditions. Regarding performance, the Omo-X sits above the One XP. This electric motorcycle has a maximum power of 13 kW or about 17.6 horsepower with a torque reaching 320 Nm. Acceleration from 0-50 kilometres per hour is claimed to be achievable in 3.3 seconds with a maximum speed of 113 kilometres per hour. Meanwhile, the Alva One XP uses a hub-drive electric motor with a power of 4 kW or about 5.4 horsepower and a maximum torque of 46.5 Nm. Its top speed reaches 90 kilometres per hour.
