Omoway Begins Shipping Omo-X Units for Product Introduction

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Omoway is preparing to launch its futuristic electric motorcycle, the Omoway Omo-X, in Indonesia in June 2026.

The motorcycle will be available in two variants: standard and a version with self-balancing technology.

In anticipation of the launch, Omoway has begun shipping Omo-X units to various regions for product introduction.

“For the Smart variant, we have already shipped units to various regions. We have also shipped the balance version to several areas, but the number of units is not very large,” said Chen in Bogor, West Java, recently.

“Because the gyroscope is quite complex. The technology is also very complex, almost like aerospace technology,” he said.

The self-balancing technology on the Omo-X was developed as a solution to the problem of congested urban traffic, especially in Indonesia.

The system combines sensors, vehicle computing, and motion control to create a more stable and intelligent two-wheeled motorcycle.

In terms of specifications, the Omo-X uses a 13 kW electric motor, or approximately 17.6 hp, with a peak torque of 320 Nm.

The motorcycle is also equipped with a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery and is claimed to be able to travel more than 200 kilometers, depending on the variant used.
