Omni hotel names manager

JAKARTA (JP): The Omni Batavia Hotel in the downtown area here
which is scheduled for opening next September announced yesterday
the appointment of Rudy Schouten as its general manager.

The hotel company said Schouten, who started his career 35
years ago, is an experienced manager in the hospitality industry.

It said he had held various senior managerial positions at
international hotel chains in Canada, the USA, Hong Kong and
Indonesia.

The hotel, owned by the widely diversified Tamara Group but
will be managed by the Omni hotel chain, will provide 390 guest
rooms and suites, a comprehensive range of restaurants, bars and
business facilities. (32)
