KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo explained that in the meeting which took place since 2:00 PM WIB this afternoon, the Ombudsman held an audience with the KPK regarding plans for cooperation in improving the quality of public services. “In this meeting, the KPK and Ombudsman discussed opportunities for collaboration in efforts to enhance the quality of public services. Considering that the public services sector is also one of the sectors vulnerable to corruption,” Budi explained to reporters on Tuesday (12/5/2026). Budi stated that the KPK and Ombudsman agreed that improving the quality of public services could limit transactional spaces that have the potential to cause corruption in this sector. For example, acts of gratification or bribes. Budi explained that the collaboration to be created by the two institutions in the future could be through the exchange of data or information. This effort is believed to enhance the system for preventing corrupt practices in the scope of public services. “Collaboration can be carried out through the exchange of data and information as well as other joint programmes,” Budi stated. “Thus, corruption prevention as well as improvement in the quality of public services can be more accelerated and provide real benefits to the public,” he concluded.
