Oman Disappointed with America: This is Not Your War

TEHERAN – Oman’s Foreign Minister, who has served as a mediator in several rounds of indirect talks between the United States and Iran, has recently expressed disappointment with Israel’s latest military strike. In a social media post, Albusaidi stated he was shocked by the strike.

“Active and serious negotiations have once again been undermined. Neither the interests of the United States nor the objectives of global peace are well served by this. And I pray for innocent people who will suffer,” he added.

“I urge the United States not to become further involved. This is not your war.”

President Trump announced on Saturday morning that the US is conducting major combat operations in Iran. Israel has stated it has launched a preliminary strike against the country.

“Some time ago, the American military began major combat operations in Iran. Our objective is to defend the American people by eliminating the direct threat posed by the Iranian regime, a cruel group consisting of extremely harsh and terrifying individuals,” said US President Donald Trump.

“Its threatening activities directly endanger the United States, our forces, our overseas bases, and our allies throughout the world.”
