Jakarta (ANTARA) - OLXmobbi Director Agung Iskandar has stated that now is an opportune time for people looking to sell used cars, as prices tend to be better than in previous years due to limited supply in the market. “If you want to sell a used car, now is the best time, because the price is better than in previous years,” he said when met in Jakarta on Friday. Agung explained that this condition is influenced by a drop in the supply of used cars, which is far greater than the decline in demand. Meanwhile, demand remains relatively stable, only falling by about 6 percent, from 141,000 to 132,000 in the same period. The cars most sought after on the platform include the Toyota Kijang Innova, Toyota Avanza, Honda Brio, Honda HR-V, and Honda CR-V. Additionally, the average vehicle credit tenor is getting longer, causing people to use their cars for more extended periods before replacing them. “So people are using their cars longer than before, not replacing them quickly, because of outstanding instalments and the current phenomenon where tenors can be extended,” he said. The combination of these factors has caused the supply of used vehicles to shrink, making prices more stable compared to last year.
