OLX Launches New Car Category and GIIAS 2026 Special Programme
Digital classifieds platform OLX has launched a New Car sub-category, adapting to changing consumer behaviour in the automotive market. OLX Director Agung Iskandar stated that internal research from January to May 2026 showed 66 percent of prospective buyers are now more flexible, considering both new and used vehicles in a single search process. “When choosing a vehicle, consumers no longer start with a rigid decision between a new or used car. They want to see more options, compare benefits, and match their budget on one platform,” he said during a press conference in Jakarta. The new feature allows users to access vehicle options by entering the ‘Car’ category and selecting the ‘New Car’ sub-category. This complements the existing ‘Check, Compare, Deal’ service, strengthening the platform’s integrated automotive ecosystem. In conjunction with the GIIAS 2026 auto show, OLX announced exclusive promotions, including e-Toll credit of up to Rp500,000 for users who check and compare vehicles on the platform and complete a transaction. OLXmobbi, the company’s trade-in service, is also participating as an official partner at the exhibition, offering a cashback promotion of up to Rp15 million.
