'Oliver Twist' to be put on by school

JAKARTA: The Charles Dickens classic Oliver Twist will be brought to the stage by students at the Gandhi Memorial International School on May 7 and May 8 at 6 p.m. at the school's auditorium in Ancol, North Jakarta.

Proceeds from the two-act play, which tells the story of the hardships faced by the dispossessed and those on the outside of "polite" society, will go to benefit underprivileged children in the capital. -- JP
