The Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI) Resort Police of the South Sumatra Regional Police held an Independent Public Consultation Forum (FKP) for 2026 at the OKI Police SAR Hall. The activity aims to improve the quality of public services that are transparent, accountable, and oriented towards community satisfaction. OKI Police Chief AKBP Eko Rubiyanto assessed that quality public services cannot be realised without the support and collaboration of all parties. Therefore, the OKI Police opened communication channels so that the service policies and innovations provided align with community needs. Through this activity, the National Police involved the regional government, academics, community leaders, community organisations, press members, and various elements of society to provide input, evaluations, and expectations for improving police service standards in the Ogan Komering Ilir Regency area. “The OKI Police are committed to continuously improving the quality of public services through openness, continuous evaluation, and synergy with all elements of society. Every input provided is important material for us in providing the best service to the community,” said Eko in a statement on Thursday (6/8/2026). The Public Consultation Forum is also an effort by the OKI Police to support the bureaucratic reform programme and the National Police Chief’s policy in realising a transformation of Polri’s public services that are precise, humanist, modern, and closer to the community. Through this activity, the OKI Police seek to ensure that every police service undergoes continuous improvement by prioritising the principles of information disclosure, responsiveness, and cross-sector collaboration to deliver fast, easy, and equitable services. Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the South Sumatra Regional Police, Commissioner Pol. Nandang Mu’min Wijaya, affirmed that the South Sumatra Regional Police consistently encourage all work units and resort police forces to improve the quality of public services as part of the implementation of Polri Presisi. “Polri is here to provide the best service to the community. Through the public consultation forum, we ensure a space for dialogue so that every service provided can be continuously evaluated and improved on an ongoing basis,” said Nandang. The activity was directly attended by OKI Police Chief AKBP Eko Rubiyanto, a representative of the OKI Regent, a representative of the OKI DPRD Chairperson, a representative of the 0402 OKI/OI Military District Command, a representative of the OKI District Attorney’s Office, a representative of the OKI District Court Chairperson, academics, community organisations, students, and press members. The series of activities began with an opening, the singing of the national anthem Indonesia Raya, a prayer reading, and a speech by the OKI Police Chief. This was followed by a presentation of material from external speakers, namely the Chairperson of the UNISKI Community Service and Empowerment Institute Hermanto and the Head of the DPMPTSP Elvis, as well as a sharing session with the UNISKI Rector, an interactive discussion and question-and-answer session, and the signing of an Integrity Pact. The implementation of the OKI Police Independent Public Consultation Forum for 2026 proceeded safely, orderly, and smoothly. The activity is expected to strengthen public trust in the Polri institution and support the creation of security stability and regional development in South Sumatra.
