Ojol Protest in Menteng This Afternoon, Beware of Potential Traffic Hotspots

JAKARTA - A crowd from online motorcycle taxi (ojol) unions will hold a demonstration in front of the Saiful Mujani Research & Consulting (SMRC) office on Jl Cik Ditiro, Gondangdia, Menteng, on Tuesday (14/4/2026) today.

“The ojol union demonstration will begin at 11:00 WIB,” stated the Head of Public Relations for the Metro Jakarta Central Police Resort, Erlyn Sumantri, in a written statement.

Additionally, there will be a protest held by a crowd of activists from Sosial Peduli Demokrasi & Hukum on Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan and the southern side of the Monas area.

This second protest will start at 13:00 WIB.

A total of 476 personnel have been prepared for securing today’s demonstrations.

Meanwhile, traffic engineering at the demonstration points will be carried out situationally, taking into account the number of people on the ground.

Erlyn advised the public to avoid the areas around the protests to anticipate traffic congestion.
