Ojol drivers back scrapping of GoRide Hemat, but wary of one concern
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The plan by PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) to discontinue the GoRide Hemat scheme is not seen as directly denting the number of orders. One online motorcycle taxi (ojol) driver, Abdul (31), said that scrapping GoRide Hemat is unlikely to have a major impact on daily orders. Nevertheless, he believes the impact could be felt if all services revert to regular operation. According to Abdul, within the GoRide Hemat service there is a special programme known to drivers as ‘langcor’ or ‘gacor subscription’. The programme is used by some drivers to help secure more orders. Therefore, Abdul is concerned that the service could also be halted.
