OJK: Total banking assets in Aceh reach Rp65.99 trillion
The Financial Services Authority (OJK) of Aceh Province recorded that total banking assets in Indonesia’s westernmost province reached Rp65.99 trillion as of May 2026.
Head of OJK Aceh Province Daddi Peryoga stated that the majority of banking assets came from commercial banks, accounting for 98.58 percent with a total of Rp65.05 trillion, while the remainder were assets of Sharia People’s Economy Banks (BPRS).
He noted that of the Rp65.05 trillion in commercial bank assets, the largest portion belonged to Bank Aceh Syariah at Rp32.34 trillion or 49.71 percent, and Bank Syariah Indonesia at Rp28.28 trillion or 43.48 percent.
Meanwhile, other commercial bank assets totalled Rp4.43 trillion or 6.81 percent. This included assets of Bank Syariah Nasional at Rp1.30 trillion, Bank Danamon Indonesia at Rp1.23 trillion or 1.89 percent, and Bank Central Asia (BCA) Syariah at Rp0.57 trillion or 0.87 percent. Other commercial banks held less than 0.40 percent.
Regarding banking performance in Aceh, Daddi Peryoga said third-party funds at commercial banks as of May 2026 stood at Rp49.24 trillion, with year-on-year growth of 15.65 percent.
Meanwhile, financing as of May 2026, he said, reached Rp49.95 trillion with annual growth of 11.66 percent.
“Commercial banks in Aceh Province show solid performance. Assets, third-party funds, and financing grew positively on an annual basis,” said Daddi Peryoga.
