OJK to Limit Employment Tenure of Foreign Workers in Banking
The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has issued new regulations regarding the use of foreign workers in the banking sector. The rules are contained in OJK Regulation (POJK) Number 1 of 2026, which governs the use of foreign workers and knowledge transfer programmes by commercial banks. The policy has been issued to ensure the presence of foreign workers in the banking industry can provide added value to the development of national human resources through a structured knowledge transfer process.
