OJK to Build New Office in Jambi on Granted Land
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) will build the OJK Jambi Provincial Office on land granted by the Jambi Provincial Government, with construction targeted to begin in 2027 following the signing of an agreement between the two parties.
OJK Board of Commissioners Chair Friderica Widyasari Dewi said the land grant will serve as the foundation for the construction of the OJK Jambi Provincial Office in order to strengthen OJK’s presence in the region and improve the quality of services to the public.
“We express our appreciation to the Jambi Provincial Government, especially Governor Al Haris, for the support given to OJK,” said Friderica in a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Friderica added that this grant reflects strong synergy between the regional government and OJK to improve public services whilst supporting regional economic development.
The agreement between the two parties was formalised through the signing of the Regional Grant Agreement Deed (NPHD) and the Minutes of Handover (BAST) of Regional Property Grant.
The NPHD and BAST were signed by Jambi Governor Al Haris representing the Jambi Provincial Government and OJK Board of Commissioners Chair Friderica Widyasari Dewi representing OJK, at the OJK Office in Jakarta on Tuesday (28/7).
OJK declared its commitment to manage the grant in a transparent and accountable manner, in accordance with applicable regulations, through the stages of asset securing, planning, construction implementation, and utilisation of the building as a service centre for the public.
Friderica affirmed that synergy between OJK and regional governments is an important factor in strengthening the financial services sector whilst driving regional economic development.

She added that OJK not only carries out its regulatory, supervisory, and consumer protection functions, but is also committed to supporting the development of regional economic potential through collaboration with regional governments and financial services businesses.
Through the Regional Economic Development Programme (PED), OJK together with regional governments identifies leading economic potential in each region, then encourages synergy with financial services businesses so that this potential receives appropriate financing support and financial services.
In addition, OJK continues to strengthen the role of the Regional Financial Access Acceleration Team (TPAKD) in expanding financial access and improving public welfare.
On that occasion, Friderica also stated that from 1 January 2027, OJK will carry out the task of regulating and supervising futures exchanges and strategic commodities, thereby opening up wider space for collaboration with regions possessing leading commodities, including Jambi Province.
Jambi Governor Al Haris welcomed the grant of the 2,122-square-metre plot of land and expressed hope that the construction of the OJK Jambi Provincial Office will further strengthen services to the public and support the implementation of OJK’s duties in the region.
“Hopefully, OJK with its extraordinary duties and role can continue to safeguard our financial services sector. We in the regions also feel greatly assisted by OJK. Therefore, it is only fitting that OJK in the regions has good space and premises to carry out its duties,” said Al Haris.
