OJK Targets 9% Growth in MSME Lending for 2026, Strengthens Financing Access
The Chair of the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority (OJK), Friderica Widyasari Dewi, also known as Kiki, has projected that credit disbursement to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in 2026 could grow by 7–9 per cent year-on-year.
She therefore assured that the OJK will continue to strengthen financing access for MSMEs so that credit disbursement to their business actors can keep increasing.
Kiki also conveyed her support for MSMEs and market deepening efforts, which she highlighted as one of the topics discussed at the meeting of the Financial System Stability Committee (KSSK) with Commission XI of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) in Jakarta today.
“Earlier, members of Commission XI asked many questions about MSME credit. So this is homework for all of us — how MSME credit can grow,” Kiki said at the Senayan parliamentary complex in Jakarta on Monday, 20 July 2026.
She explained that the banking sector currently remains sound, with positive credit growth. According to the OJK’s records, banking credit grew 11.5 per cent to a value of around Rp 8,600 trillion, whilst liquidity conditions also remain well maintained.
In addition, the OJK, together with fellow KSSK members — comprising the Ministry of Finance, Bank Indonesia, and the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) — will continue to coordinate in safeguarding the stability of the national financial services sector to ensure it runs well.
Previously, the OJK continued to strengthen the national credit information infrastructure through the optimisation of the Financial Information Service System (SLIK) in order to improve the quality of debtor information, expand access to healthy financing, and support credit disbursement to productive sectors, including MSMEs and the 3 Million Houses Programme.
The optimisation of SLIK forms part of the OJK’s commitment to increasing credit and financing disbursement to the public in a high-quality and well-targeted manner, thereby supporting the stability of the financial sector.
The SLIK optimisation, which took effect on 1 July 2026, includes accelerating the updating of credit or financing information by Financial Services Business Actors (PUJK) to no later than three working days after settlement, as well as applying a debtor information threshold for amounts above Rp 1 million, so that the information presented remains proportionate and relevant in the credit analysis process.
