OJK Selects Jeffrey Hendrik as Definitive IDX President Director
The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has appointed Jeffrey Hendrik as the President Director of PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) for the 2026-2030 period. The appointment will be formalised at the BEI General Meeting of Shareholders scheduled for this weekend.
Responding to the appointment, Jeffrey affirmed his commitment to continuing capital market reforms and strengthening governance and integrity. ‘We will certainly continue the capital market reforms that we have implemented over the past four months. We are also committed to continuously improving transparency, integrity, and governance at the Indonesia Stock Exchange. We will continue to deepen the market, both from the demand and supply sides,’ Jeffrey stated at the Parliament Complex in Jakarta on Friday, 19 June 2026.
He expressed hope that the ongoing reform efforts would propel the BEI to become a world-class exchange on par with those in developed nations. ‘Thus, in the future, the potential for BEI to become a world-class exchange, equal to the major exchanges globally, can be realised soon,’ he added.
The OJK has finalised the composition of the BEI board of directors for the 2026-2030 period, following a selection process and fit and proper tests in accordance with Article 16 of OJK Regulation Number 58/POJK.04/2016 concerning Directors and Board of Commissioners of Exchanges. The appointments are set to be approved at the BEI Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on 29 June 2026.
Alongside Jeffrey Hendrik as President Director, the OJK has appointed Saidu Solihin as Director of Corporate Assessment, Irvan Susandy as Director of Trading and Member Regulation, and Yulianto Aji Sadono as Director of Transaction Supervision and Compliance. Abdul Munim has been appointed as Director of Information Technology and Risk Management, Iding Pardi as Director of Development, and Umi Kulsum as Director of Finance, Human Resources, and General Affairs.
