OJK Seizes Rp 113.97 Billion in Assets from Asuransi Jiwa Prolife (Indosurya)
The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has collaborated across multiple agencies to seize assets in the case of PT Asuransi Jiwa Prolife Indonesia, previously known as PT Asuransi Jiwa Indosurya Sukses. The cooperation was carried out with the Police, the Attorney General’s Office, the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, the Ministry of Law, and the OJK’s Investigation Department.
Chairperson of the OJK Board of Commissioners, Friderica Widyasari Dewi, stated that as a result of the investigation into the alleged criminal offence in the financial services sector, the authority has seized and secured 485 pieces of evidence with a total asset value reaching Rp 113.97 billion.
“As we know, in accordance with the Law, one of the OJK’s important mandates is to carry out law enforcement functions in order to maintain the integrity of the financial services sector, protect the interests of consumers and the public, and create a financial system that is sound, transparent, and trustworthy,” she said at the OJK building in Jakarta on Monday (9/7/2026).
According to her, cross-agency collaboration is a crucial factor in strengthening the effectiveness of law enforcement, especially in the process of tracing, blocking, and seizing assets.
In the investigation process of this case, Kiki, as she is familiarly known, said that OJK investigators have taken various steps, from inquiry to the seizure of evidence and assets of economic value.
“This achievement shows that the OJK’s investigation function is running well, and this is certainly also due to the synergy and collaboration with the ministries and agencies I mentioned earlier, the Indonesian National Police, the Indonesian Attorney General’s Office, the Ministry of ATR/BPN, and also several other agencies,” she revealed.
The OJK will continue to strengthen risk-based supervision, enhance coordination with law enforcement officials, and of course, accelerate responses to cases that have the potential to or have already harmed consumers and the public.
“So for other cases, we would like to convey here, as many people may be asking, the OJK is not staying silent. We may not always be able to provide updates to the public, to the consumers who are victims, but in due time we will certainly convey it when it is possible,” she said.
“We continue to encourage improvements in the governance of the financial services industry, in this case insurance, so that this sector becomes stronger, healthier, more transparent, and provides real benefits to the public,” she concluded.
