OJK Secures ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Certification
Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has secured the international ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification for its supervision of the insurance, guarantee and pension fund sectors (PPDP).
The achievement underscores OJK’s commitment to continually improving the quality of supervision, licensing and regulation in the PPDP sectors through the consistent, measurable and sustainable application of international quality standards.
“This ISO 9001:2015 certification demonstrates OJK’s commitment to ensuring that supervision of the PPDP sectors complies with international quality standards. Through independent assessment, we aim to ensure that supervision is objective, uses appropriate methodologies and is continually improved,” OJK Chief Executive for Insurance, Guarantee and Pension Fund Supervision Ogi Prastomiyono said in a statement in Jakarta on Friday.
The ISO 9001:2015 certification was issued by independent certification body SGS United Kingdom Ltd (SGS).
Ogi explained that the certification is not merely recognition of the application of quality management standards, but also brings a responsibility to maintain consistency in working processes and undergo periodic assessments by an independent certification body.
Through the certification process, OJK has opened its implementation of the quality management system in PPDP supervision to independent assessment.
The assessment is an important part of identifying areas for improvement and ensuring the standards are applied effectively and sustainably.
The ISO 9001:2015 certification awarded to OJK’s PPDP Supervision Division covers the quality management system for supervision, licensing and regulation services in the PPDP sectors.
The standard emphasises a process-based approach, risk management, performance evaluation and continuous quality improvement.
Its application is expected to strengthen the consistency and effectiveness of work processes, improve accountability in carrying out duties, and support objective supervisory decisions based on measurable methodologies.
OJK will continue to maintain consistent implementation of the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system as part of efforts to strengthen governance and institutional capacity.
“This step also supports OJK’s efforts to build stakeholder confidence and foster a healthy, integrity-driven and competitive PPDP industry,” Ogi said.
