The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has revoked the business licence of PT Bank Perekonomian Rakyat (BPR) Ceper Permata Artha, located in Central Java. The licence revocation was carried out because the bank failed to undertake recovery measures. The revocation is in accordance with the Decree of the OJK Board of Commissioners Number KEPR-111/D.03/2026 dated 25 June 2026. “The revocation of PT BPR Ceper Permata Artha’s business licence is part of the supervisory actions taken by OJK to continuously strengthen the banking industry,” according to an official OJK statement on Saturday, 27 June 2026. PT BPR Ceper Permata Artha had previously been designated by the OJK as a bank under recovery supervision status because its Capital Adequacy Ratio (KPMM) was below 12 percent and its soundness level was rated as unhealthy. This designation was made on 18 June 2025. On 12 June 2026, the OJK placed PT BPR Ceper Permata Artha under resolution supervision status. However, by the specified deadline, the management and shareholders of PT BPR Ceper Permata Artha were unable to restore the bank’s health. Following the revocation, the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) will guarantee deposits and carry out the bank’s liquidation process. In its official release, LPS urged all customers to remain calm and not be provoked into actions that could disrupt the deposit guarantee and liquidation process. For the payment of deposit insurance claims for PT BPR Ceper Permata Artha, LPS will conduct reconciliation and verification of deposit data and other information to determine which deposits are eligible and ineligible for payment. The reconciliation and verification process will be completed by LPS no later than 30 October 2026. The payment of deposit funds will be made using LPS funds, not funds originating from the bank whose licence has been revoked. The announcement of eligible deposits will be carried out in stages over a period of 90 working days. All assets and documents owned or controlled by PT BPR Ceper Permata Artha are under the control and supervision of LPS.
