The Chief Executive of the Supervisory Board for Financing Institutions, Venture Capital Companies, Microfinance Institutions, and Other Financial Services Institutions (PVML) at the Financial Services Authority (OJK), Agusman, has reported that the industries under his supervision generally recorded positive performance in the first half of 2026. OJK noted that multifinance company growth reached 1.7%, totalling Rp 513 trillion, and is targeted to grow close to 6% by the end of 2026. Venture capital grew by 0.09% year-on-year (yoy) to Rp 16 trillion, in line with increasingly selective investment distribution amid uncertainty. The microfinance institution (LKM) sector recorded 7% growth, valued at Rp 6.4 trillion, aimed at fostering the growth and mentoring of small businesses. Meanwhile, the online lending (Pindar) sector recorded 25.6% yoy growth, reaching Rp 103 trillion, reflecting high public demand for online loan financing.
