OJK Reveals Account Transaction Freeze of AMPB Coordinator Supriyono Complies with Regulations
Jakarta – The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has revealed that it is conducting further investigation into the delay of transactions on the account belonging to Supriyono, Coordinator of the Pati United Community Alliance (AMPB).
Chief Executive of Banking Supervision at OJK, Dian Ediana Rae, said that OJK will also coordinate with various relevant stakeholders to resolve this issue promptly. This includes requesting the bank concerned to continue coordinating and taking necessary resolution measures during the delay period in accordance with existing regulations.
“OJK emphasises that if, during the investigation and supervision process, any violation of applicable provisions is found, OJK will take supervisory measures and follow-up actions in accordance with its authority,” said Dian in Jakarta, quoted on Wednesday, 26 August 2026.
According to him, OJK will continue to monitor the follow-up actions taken by the bank, including the restoration of access to the account once all processes during the period have been completed and a conclusion has been reached.
“Regarding the issue that has emerged in several news reports concerning one of the banks, OJK is paying close attention to the matter and is currently coordinating with the bank’s management,” said Dian.
Based on the information available to date, Dian said that the bank has acted in accordance with existing provisions. Indonesia has laws and regulations governing the delay of transactions on customer accounts, namely Law Number 8 of 2010 concerning the Prevention and Eradication of the Criminal Act of Money Laundering (TPPU Law).
In line with existing laws and regulations, OJK has also regulated the mechanism for delaying transactions and temporarily suspending transactions in Article 47 of POJK No. 8 of 2023 concerning the Implementation of Anti-Money Laundering, Prevention of Terrorism Financing and Prevention of Financing of Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction in the Financial Services Sector.
Similar regulations have also been issued by other stakeholders, including in related regulations from the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (PPATK).
In accordance with the provisions of the POJK, Dian explained, financial service providers (PJK) may delay transactions as referred to in the laws and regulations concerning the prevention and eradication of TPPU provided that several criteria as stipulated in the provisions are met, including that PJK is obliged to delay transactions immediately after receiving an order/request to delay transactions from PPATK, investigators, public prosecutors, or judges.
