OJK Responds to BNBR's Special Notation G Status
The Chief Executive of Capital Market, Financial Derivatives, and Carbon Exchange Supervision, who is also a member of the Board of Commissioners, Hasan Fawzi, stated that while he had not yet reviewed the specific details, the application of the special notation is important as information for investors and shareholders. Hasan explained that regulators assign various special notations to certain issuers as a form of investor protection to help them avoid problematic companies. For the issuer itself, this notation serves as a transparent warning regarding the company’s performance or status, such as regulatory sanctions or legal issues, thereby encouraging them to promptly improve governance and compliance. “I will check on it later. But essentially, we have implemented these special notations from the start. And not all notations signify a specific violation,” he said when met at the Indonesia Stock Exchange building in Jakarta on Monday (10/8/2026). Hasan elaborated that some notations are intended to provide additional information to investors as a caution for those wishing to purchase the issuer’s shares. “So that investors who wish to conduct certain transaction activities on the relevant shares, as long as they carry a special notation, should first examine what lies behind that notation,” he explained.
