The Financial Services Authority (OJK) reported that the number of investors in the Indonesian capital market grew by 47.63% year-to-date (ytd), reaching 30.06 million Single Investor Identifications (SID) by the end of July 2026. Hasan Fawzi, Chief Executive of Capital Market, Derivative Finance, and Carbon Exchange Supervision at OJK, stated that the growth trend in the number of investors in the Indonesian capital market is in line with the results of various deepening initiatives and efforts to strengthen the digital ecosystem in the capital market industry. “The addition of investors was recorded at 1.1 million in July 2026 on a month-to-month (mtm) basis, bringing the total number of investors to 30.06 million, or a growth of 47.63% year-to-date (ytd),” Hasan said during the July 2026 Monthly Board of Commissioners Meeting (RDKB) Press Conference in Jakarta on Tuesday. OJK, together with Self-Regulatory Organizations (SROs), is targeting the number of Indonesian capital market investors to reach 35 million SID by 2030, as part of an effort to push the domestic bourse into the world’s top 10. In addition to the continuously growing number of investors, OJK reported that fundraising in the Indonesian capital market by domestic corporations remained strong, reaching Rp121.96 trillion by the end of July 2026. Meanwhile, there are currently 15 public offering plans in the pipeline. “For fundraising through Securities Crowdfunding (SCF), the total aggregate value of funds raised has reached Rp2.01 trillion,” Hasan said. Hasan continued that the development of the Indonesia Carbon Exchange (IDXCarbon) continues to show growth. As of July 2026, the number of registered service users had reached 155, with a cumulative transaction volume of 1.98 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) and an accumulated transaction value of Rp93.89 billion. Furthermore, as of July 2026, OJK has imposed administrative sanctions for case examinations in the capital market, derivative finance, and carbon exchange sector, consisting of administrative sanctions in the form of fines amounting to Rp91.09 billion against 104 parties. Additionally, there were two licence revocation sanctions, one cancellation of a Registration Certificate (STTD), six licence suspension sanctions, nine written warning sanctions, and eight written order sanctions.
