OJK Records Daily SBN Transaction Value Reaching Rp60 Trillion
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) reports that the domestic debt market has recorded positive developments, one of which is reflected in the average daily transaction value (RNTH) of Government Securities (SBN) reaching Rp60 trillion throughout 2025.
Deputy Commissioner for Licensing and Supervision of Capital Market Investment Management and Securities Institutions at OJK, Eddy Manindo Harahap, assesses that this achievement reflects increasing trading activity, while also demonstrating stronger confidence among market participants in debt instruments.
“The development of debt securities, both SBN and corporate bonds, has so far shown a positive trend. The average daily transaction value of SBN is now quite substantial at around Rp60 trillion in 2025,” said Eddy at the 2025 SPPA Award Ceremony in the Main Hall of the Indonesia Stock Exchange, Jakarta, on Monday.
OJK also reports that ownership of tradable SBN has recorded a year-on-year growth of 8.67%, reflecting stronger investor interest from both domestic and foreign sources.
Furthermore, Eddy conveyed that SBN Repurchase Agreement (Repo) activities have also shown significant growth.
Currently, the portion of SBN Repo against total transactions reaches around 35%, while interbank Repo contributes more than 70% of total Repo activities.
“Including the portion of SBN Repo against total transactions, which is currently 35%, and interbank Repo also contributes up to more than 70% of Repo activities,” said Eddy.
Eddy stated that these data reflect the continuous increase in market depth, better price recovery processes, and the increasingly market-driven development of Repo mechanisms.
The total SPPA transaction value consists of Repo transactions in SPPA worth Rp751.6 trillion and outright or debt securities buy-sell transactions worth Rp630.5 trillion throughout 2025.
Currently, SPPA has accommodated debt securities trading for 39 service users, 14 of whom are Repo users. The SPPA users consist of commercial banks, regional development banks, and securities companies.
