OJK Projects Revenue to Reach Rp9.2 Trillion in 2027
The Financial Services Authority (OJK) projects the agency’s revenue will reach Rp9.2 trillion, with an initial balance of Rp4.67 trillion, in 2027. “On the revenue side, in 2027 it is projected to obtain Rp9.22 trillion, plus a projected initial balance for 2027 of Rp4.67 trillion,” said OJK Deputy Chairman of the Board of Commissioners Hernawan Bekti Sasongko during a working meeting with House of Representatives Commission XI in Jakarta on Wednesday. Hernawan stated that the revenue projection will form part of OJK’s funding sources in 2027. These funding sources, totalling Rp13.89 trillion, serve as the basis for preparing OJK’s 2027 budget capacity. Revenue from registrations is expected to decline compared to 2026. This decrease takes into account market conditions and the implementation of several new regulations in various financial services sectors. Meanwhile, other revenues are projected to increase quite significantly. According to Hernawan, this increase reaches 79.69 percent, in line with more aggressive placement of funds to support the implementation of OJK’s strategic policy direction in 2027. On the expenditure side, Hernawan explained that OJK has budgeted spending needs of Rp10.25 trillion for 2027. This budget will be used to finance operational and administrative activities, as well as asset procurement to support the execution of the institution’s duties and functions. Hernawan noted that with these projections, the initial budget balance for the following year is estimated to reach Rp3.65 trillion. He emphasised that the majority of OJK’s spending in 2027 will be directed towards operational and administrative needs. The allocation for operational and administrative activities reaches Rp9.27 trillion, or approximately 90.4 percent of the total budget. He said this proportion reflects the increasingly targeted direction of OJK’s budget usage to effectively support the institution’s mandate and duties.
