JAKARTA - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has started to disclose data on high shareholding concentration, or high ownership of shares in issuers. This policy represents a new step to increase transparency in the capital market. The publication of data will begin on Thursday (2 April 2026) after the close of trading. The Executive Head of OJK’s Capital Market, Derivatives Finance, and Carbon Exchange Supervision, Hasan Fawzi, assured that the disclosure of data will not disrupt market mechanisms. “For the high shareholding concentration mechanism, today we plan to start the publication as well. So we have decided to do it without disrupting the market mechanism, immediately after the close of trading today,” Hasan stated during a press conference at the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) building in Jakarta. “This additional important information can be used as an early warning for investors in making decisions. So this is not because of any specific violation, but the information will be open for the list of shares that are confirmed to have high concentration or ownership limited to just a few parties,” he explained. The disclosure is intended to show shares with ownership concentrated among a handful of parties, not due to any violations. OJK is also preparing follow-up steps by engaging in communication with global index providers. “We will continue to ensure a series of follow-up meetings with global index providers, and we will proactively seek input and views from investors regarding the level of transparency we have provided,” Hasan continued. This step is expected to strengthen investor confidence and improve the quality of transparency in Indonesia’s capital market.
