Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) reported that the number of capital market investors increased amid the corrective movement of the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG), in line with the escalation of the Middle East conflict and the surge in global energy commodity prices.

The Executive Head of Capital Market, Derivative Finance, and Carbon Exchange Supervision at OJK, Hasan Fawzi, stated during the March 2026 RDKB Press Conference in Jakarta on Monday that the IHSG closed at the level of 7,048.22 at the end of March 2026, or a 14.42 per cent correction month-to-month (mtm).

On the other hand, the number of domestic capital market investors continues to show an increase. As of March 2026, there were an additional 1.78 million new investors, bringing the total number of investors to 24.74 million, or a growth of 21.51 per cent year-to-date (ytd).

In general, OJK assesses that the resilience and liquidity of the domestic capital market as a whole remain maintained.

In the bond market, the Indonesia Composite Bond Index (ICBI) closed at the level of 433.16, or a 2.03 per cent correction (mtm) and 1.74 per cent (ytd). This correction occurred along with increasing risk perception due to global uncertainty.

Meanwhile, in the government securities (SBN) market, non-resident investors recorded a net sell of Rp21.80 trillion.

The investment management industry moved in line with market trends in March 2026, although with a decline deemed more moderate.
