Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) records that the outstanding financing of financing companies (multifinance) grew by 0.61% year-on-year (yoy) to Rp514.09 trillion for the period of March 2026, supported by an increase in working capital financing which rose by 6.15% (yoy).

Meanwhile, the multifinance risk profile is maintained with a gross Non-Performing Financing (NPF) ratio of 2.83% and net NPF of 0.8% for the March 2026 period.

“Multifinance gearing ratio is recorded at 2.17 times and is below the maximum limit of 10 times,” stated the Head of the Executive for Supervision of Financing Institutions, Venture Capital Companies, Microfinance Institutions, and Other Financial Service Institutions (PVML) of OJK, Agusman, in Jakarta on Tuesday.

In the Monthly Commissioners’ Meeting (RDKB) Press Conference for April 2026 held virtually, Agusman explained that Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) financing by multifinance grew by 55.85% (yoy) to Rp12.81 trillion for the March 2026 period, with gross NPF at 2.51%.

In the online lending industry (pindar), total outstanding financing grew by 26.25% (yoy) to Rp101.03 trillion for the March 2026 period, with the aggregate overdue credit risk level (TWP90) remaining stable at 4.52%.

Furthermore, in the pawnshop industry, financing disbursement grew by 60.27% (yoy) to Rp153.49 trillion for the March 2026 period, with the largest financing disbursed in the form of Pawn products amounting to Rp127.90 trillion or 83.33% of the total financing disbursed by the pawnshop industry.

Agusman revealed that eight out of 144 financing companies have not yet met the minimum core capital requirement of Rp100 billion as of now, as well as eleven out of 94 online lending providers that have not met the minimum equity requirement of Rp12.5 billion.
