OJK Issues Guidelines for Bank Partnerships with Fintech and E-Commerce

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - CNBC Indonesia hosted the Digital Banking Forum 2026 with the theme ‘Building the Future Digital Banking Ecosystem’, bringing together regulators, industry players, and brands to discuss the potential, challenges, and future direction of digital banking in Indonesia. The Financial Services Authority (OJK) continues to encourage the banking industry’s transformation towards value-added services through the ‘Beyond Banking’ concept by developing digital banking services. OJK’s Chief Executive of Banking Supervision and Board of Commissioners Member, Dian Ediana Rae, stated that digital banking services are necessary to broaden public access to financial services, including financing for MSMEs. OJK supports collaboration between banks and digital platforms, including fintech and e-commerce, through partnership guidelines that prioritise prudential principles and good governance to prevent systemic risks while protecting consumers.
