Jakarta. The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has announced that its investigators have completed a total of 187 cases in the financial services sector up to 31 July 2026, with the largest number in the banking sector at 148 cases. There were also 25 cases in the insurance, guarantee, and pension fund (PPDP) sector; 9 cases in the capital market, derivative finance, and carbon exchange (PMDK) sector; and 5 cases in the financing institutions, venture capital companies, microfinance institutions, and other financial services institutions (PVML) sector. “OJK investigators always actively coordinate with other law enforcement officials in completing the investigation process through cooperation in law enforcement in the financial services sector,” said Deputy Chairman of the OJK Board of Commissioners Hernawan Bekti Sasongko during a press conference on the Monthly Board of Commissioners Meeting results in Jakarta, Tuesday. The number of cases that have been decided by the courts stands at 158, of which 153 have permanent legal force, 4 are still at the appeal stage, and 1 is still at the cassation stage. One of the latest follow-ups to investigation results is the transfer of a suspect along with evidence in the alleged insurance crime case of PT Asuransi Jiwa Prolife Indonesia (formerly PT Asuransi Jiwa Indosurya Sukses) to the South Jakarta District Prosecutor’s Office. This transfer follows the case file being declared complete by the public prosecutor. In this case, OJK investigators named HS, the controlling shareholder of PT Asuransi Jiwa Prolife Indonesia, as a suspect.
