In a move to tighten regulatory enforcement, the Financial Services Authority (OJK) has imposed administrative sanctions totalling Rp91.09 billion on capital market participants. The announcement was made by Hasan Fawzi, OJK Board of Commissioners member and Chief Executive of Capital Market, Derivative Finance, and Carbon Exchange Supervision, during a virtual press conference on Tuesday, 4 August 2026.

Beyond the financial penalties, the OJK revoked two business licences, cancelled one distributor registration certificate, suspended six licences, and issued nine written warnings along with eight written orders to parties found in violation of capital market regulations.

Alongside enforcement, the OJK and Self-Regulatory Organizations (SROs) are accelerating efforts to improve transparency and investability in the domestic capital market. In July 2026, the regulator refined the methodology for the Backup Share Price (HSC). Furthermore, the OJK continues to strengthen engagement with global investors and index providers. As part of supporting the government’s Net Zero Emission target, the OJK also issued Regulation POJK Number 10 of 2026, which amends previous rules to enhance the governance, licensing, capital, and reporting requirements for the effective and transparent operation of the carbon exchange.
