The Financial Services Authority (OJK) continues to support the law enforcement process and the resolution of lender funds for PT Dana Syariah Indonesia (PT DSI). Through a special examination, the OJK successfully identified a number of assets suspected of being acquired using lender funds. The examination was conducted to trace the flow of lender funds and identify assets belonging to PT DSI, its shareholders, management, and affiliated parties suspected of originating from the use of lender funds. To strengthen the evidence, the OJK has requested information from 32 parties, consisting of shareholders, management, employees of PT DSI, and other related parties. Based on the results of this special examination, the OJK successfully identified a number of assets suspected of being obtained from the use of PT DSI lender funds. The results of this asset identification have been handed over to the Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri) in stages during the period from February to May 2026 as part of the OJK’s support for the law enforcement process and the resolution of lender funds in accordance with applicable mechanisms and provisions. This special examination is a continuation of a series of supervisory actions previously taken by the OJK against PT DSI. Several steps taken by the OJK include a direct examination in August-September 2025, reporting the alleged misuse of lender funds to Bareskrim Polri on 15 October 2025, and the imposition of administrative sanctions in the form of a written warning, fines, and restrictions on business activities on the same date. In addition, the OJK has also facilitated several meetings between lender representatives and PT DSI, established a special supervisory status on 2 December 2025, issued written instructions to shareholders, the board of commissioners, directors, and the sharia supervisory board on 10 December 2025, and conducted an examination of the public accountant who audited PT DSI’s annual financial report. Going forward, the OJK stated it will continue to strengthen coordination with Bareskrim Polri, the Attorney General’s Office, the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (PPATK), and the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) to support the law enforcement process and optimise the resolution of PT DSI lender funds. OJK is committed to consistently carrying out its regulatory and supervisory functions to protect consumer interests, support law enforcement, and maintain the integrity of the financial services sector.
