OJK Handles 124 Capital Market Cases, 89 Still Under Investigation
The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has handled 124 cases through special examinations in the capital market sector as of 7 August 2026, with 35 cases completed and 89 others still under investigation.
Deputy Commissioner for Issuer Supervision, Securities Transactions, Special Examinations, Derivative Finance, and Exchanges at OJK, Khoirul Muttaqien, said the special examinations largely focused on securities transactions as well as issuers and public companies.
“Of these 124 cases, we have completed 35 cases, while 89 other cases are still in the process of intensive examination,” said Khoirul at the Press Conference for the 49th Anniversary of the Reactivation of the Indonesian Capital Market in Jakarta on Monday.
Based on OJK’s presentation, 79 cases were related to securities transactions and 27 cases were related to issuers and public companies. In addition, there was one case related to a securities company representative.
“This law enforcement measure is a tangible manifestation of our commitment to continuously maintain market integrity and to provide maximum protection for investors in the capital market,” said Khoirul.
In addition to special examinations, the authority has imposed various administrative sanctions in the capital market, derivative finance, and carbon exchange sectors as of 7 August 2026, with total fines reaching Rp240.5 billion.
The sanctions include three licence revocations, two licence suspensions, 303 written warnings, and six written orders.
