OJK Grants Business Licence to PT Indonesia Digital Exchange
The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has granted a business licence as a Digital Financial Asset Trader through KEP-20/D.07/2026 dated 13 August 2026. The licence took effect from the date the Board of Commissioners’ decision was issued.
In accordance with Article 124 of POJK Number 27 of 2024 concerning the Operation of Digital Financial Asset Trading, when marketing digital financial asset products and/or services, traders are required to provide information that is truthful, not misleading, and compliant with prevailing laws and regulations. Such information must at minimum meet the following requirements:
be transparent to consumers;
include warnings regarding risk and price volatility, and must not indicate or create the impression that investing in digital financial assets will yield high and guaranteed returns;
not build assumptions that failure to purchase digital financial assets now will result in losses; and
not recommend purchasing digital financial assets using debt in any form.
Furthermore, the OJK urges the public to use the services of digital financial asset traders that are licensed by the OJK.
