OJK Committed to Strengthening Financial Services in IKN
North Penajam Paser (ANTARA) - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) is committed to strengthening financial services in the Nusantara Capital (IKN) in parts of North Penajam Paser Regency and Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan Province, which will accelerate the formation of a new economic growth centre. “Communication for the preparation of land plots for the construction of the OJK office in Indonesia’s new capital has been communicated,” said OJK Deputy Chairman Hernawan Bekti Sasongko after holding an audience with the IKN Authority in Sepaku, North Penajam Paser, on Tuesday. “Then, the readiness of support facilities for OJK employees who will be assigned to IKN,” he added. OJK also emphasised forming a special task force for accelerating the construction of the office and coordinating the presence of the financial services sector in Indonesia’s new capital. It is hoped that the presence of OJK and the financial services industry will accelerate the formation of a new economic growth centre, continued Hernawan Bekti Sasongko, and serve as a catalyst for accelerating the preparation process for constructing the financial services industry office operating in IKN. The process of relocating OJK to IKN, including providing temporary facilities for employees who will be assigned to Indonesia’s new capital, received full support, said Secretary of the Nusantara Capital Authority, Bimo Adi Nursanthyasto. The IKN Authority will soon prepare temporary offices and apartments for OJK employees assigned to Indonesia’s new capital, he said.
