OJK Chief Reveals Prabowo’s Special Message: Crack Down on Coordinated Trading
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — Financial Services Authority (OJK) chair Friderica Widyasari Dewi said the regulator would continue reforms to Indonesia’s capital market. She made the comments after attending a limited meeting with President Prabowo Subianto at Merdeka Palace in Central Jakarta on Monday (19 October 2026).
“Specifically regarding Indonesia’s capital market, we also told him that we would continue capital-market reforms to improve transparency and liquidity,” she said.
“The most important special message today was how we must continue to enforce the rules against those who have committed violations related to coordinated trading and other matters,” she added.
Friderica said the OJK would continue to uphold credibility and integrity and take enforcement action over various violations. She said the aim was to create a deterrent effect, so that Indonesia’s capital market would become more liquid and transparent, and a good place for domestic and foreign investors to invest.
“Especially now that our domestic retail investors have reached 32.7 million SID, which naturally raises great hopes that Indonesia’s capital market can become a good long-term investment venue for the Indonesian public,” she said.
