The Chair of the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority (OJK), Friderica Widyasari Dewi, has delivered three important messages to investors and all capital market stakeholders to ensure the Indonesian financial market progresses further in the future. The three key issues requiring attention from all parties are the integrity of the financial services sector, the diversification of investment instruments, and inclusive investment that impacts the real sector.

"The integrity of the financial services sector cannot be built solely by the OJK, the House of Representatives, or the Indonesia Stock Exchange; all parties must safeguard it. Secondly, I invite all investors to diversify, to expand, as there is a carbon exchange and other exchanges that can be utilised for the growth and development of the Indonesian financial market. Furthermore, it must be inclusive and impact the real sector," Friderica explained at the CNBC Indonesia Investment Forum 2026 in the Main Hall of the Indonesia Stock Exchange on Wednesday (15/7/2026).

In detail, the three important messages from the OJK Chair are:

Integrity of the Financial Services Sector as the Foundation for Stability and Investor Confidence

Strengthening regulation, governance, and market integrity is key to maintaining stability in the financial sector and enhancing investor confidence. This includes consumer protection from the threats of scams and illegal financial transactions.

Diversification of Instruments to Broaden Investment

The development of the capital market, mineral exchange, carbon exchange, and green finance opens new sources of financing while strengthening Indonesia’s position in the global value chain.

Inclusive Investment that Impacts the Real Economy

The transformation of the financial sector must provide tangible benefits to MSMEs, agriculture, and fisheries through broader, productive, and sustainable financing access.
