OJK: Central Kalimantan Financial Services Stability Well Maintained in Q2
The Financial Services Authority (OJK) of Central Kalimantan has stated that the stability of the financial services sector in the province remained well maintained during the second quarter of 2026, amidst increasing global and national economic dynamics. “This condition serves as an important foundation for supporting quality, inclusive, and sustainable regional economic growth,” said Primandanu Febriyan Aziz, Head of OJK Central Kalimantan, in Palangka Raya on Wednesday. He noted that the stability of the financial services sector was reflected in various indicators, including the performance of the banking industry. As of May 2026, the total assets of commercial banks in Central Kalimantan increased by IDR 8.27 trillion, or 9.08 percent year-on-year (yoy), rising from IDR 90.99 trillion to IDR 99.26 trillion. Primandanu emphasised that a stable, safe, and trustworthy financial services sector plays a strategic role in maintaining regional economic resilience. “This condition also greatly supports the expansion of financing access and encourages the improvement of public welfare,” he explained. Through various strategic programmes, OJK is committed to maintaining financial sector stability, enhancing financial literacy and inclusion, and expanding access to financial services that are easily reachable, safe, and suited to the needs of the community, including in remote areas.
