The Chief Executive of Banking Supervision at the Financial Services Authority (OJK), Dian Ediana Rae, stated that the agency, together with the domestic banking sector, is building a system to block perpetrators of online gambling from using various banking services in the country. Speaking at the OJK Banking Forum 2026, he noted that as of May 2026, with the system already partially operational, banks have rejected business relationship applications from 2.8 million prospective customers and terminated relationships with 51,200 customers due to their links to online gambling.
