Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) states that it has blocked 953 illegal online lending entities throughout the first quarter of 2026.

The Executive Head of OJK’s Behavioural Supervision, Education, and Consumer Protection for Financial Services Businesses, Dicky Kartikoyono, during the March 2026 Monthly Commissioners’ Meeting Press Conference in Jakarta on Monday, explained that the blockings resulted from follow-up actions on 10,516 complaints received by OJK from January to March 2026.

He detailed that of the total, 8,515 were complaints regarding illegal online loans, 1,933 related to illegal investments, and 68 concerning illegal pawns.

“The Illegal Financial Activities Eradication Task Force (Satgas PASTI) followed up on these complaints by directly shutting down 953 illegal online lending entities. We also blocked activities involving illegal investment offers on various websites and applications that could harm the public,” said Dicky.

“The number of accounts blocked totals 460,270, with victim funds blocked amounting to Rp585.4 billion,” Dicky clarified.

In addition to blocking accounts, Satgas PASTI monitors fraud reports submitted by the public to the IASC.

In the process, the Task Force coordinates with the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs to block 94,294 phone numbers associated with scams. Moving forward, this measure is said to be strengthened through cooperation with telecommunications companies.
